EXPECTED OUTCOME:
- Effectively responds to and manages crisis situations, which may include client physical aggression, utilizing prescribed behavioral modification techniques.
- Consistently implements Individual Education Plan and behavior support plans to reduce client’s maladaptive behaviors, promote appropriate social behaviors and maximize human potential of each client served.
- Ensures that all activities, services and programs through Campagna Academy, Inc. are conducted in a manner that is sensitive to and shows respect for the cultural and ethnic diversity for all clients.
- Promotes and assists with the development of appropriate daily living, self-help and social skills.
- Attends to all personal hygiene and personal care needs, including but not limited to grooming, hygiene, dining, mobility, psychosocial and safety needs
- Provides care for those unable to care for their own needs.
- Assists clients with activities of daily living in maintaining a safe and healthy environment, including performing a variety of tasks related to housekeeping including cleaning, washing soiled clothing, changing bed linen, folding and sorting clean laundry.
- Understands client’s rights and protects them by promptly reporting any violations.
- Completes all required documentation on a daily basis, in a professional manner – must be objective, accurate and thorough - to provide consistent client treatment.

- Performs various resident care activities and related services in caring for intellectual, psychosocial, physical and spiritual needs of the residents.
- Remains awake, alert and engaged at all times – competently supervising and monitoring the clients. Never leaving clients unattended unless permitted for periods of time based on a client’s individual Behavior Support Plan.
- Understands and follows the rules governing client service documentation, including but not limited to: incident reports, progress notes and all other documentation assigned.
- Adhering to all policies and procedures as defined in the Personnel Policy Manual, Campagna Academy’s Professional Ethics Handbook and the Program Manual.
- Takes pride and ownership in Campagna Academy’s grounds, facilities and assigned work areas.
- Attends unit/cottage mandatory staff meetings and other meetings as assigned.
- Completes mandatory training as assigned in a timely manner.
- Exercise effective written and verbal communication skills. Documentation must be accurate and legible.
- Completes incident reports during and/or at the end of the shift, prior to leaving the shift, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client.
- Ensures that the agency meets its quality improvement, evaluation and reporting requirements.
- Actively participates in and/or oversees data collection and the use of data to improve outcomes, practices and service delivery.
- Utilizes data collection in relation to driving and tracking outcomes and achieving agency initiatives and goals.
- When assigned to any classroom/school activity expected to perform the following duties:
- Assists students in with educational studies and instruction
- Assists teacher in conducting small educational groups with students
- Assists with overall classroom instruction in absence of the teacher
- Assists in teaching students to acquire basic academic, behavioral, communication, social- functioning, self-help, daily living and social skills.
- Assist with e-learning, login and other hybrid method of learning.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Training:
- LPN, required.
- BS degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field, preferred
- Must be 21 years of age or older
Experience:
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with adolescents in a residential setting
- Must have experience working with youth who have demonstrated self-injurious behaviors; required special precautions
- Must have experience with DBT/TF CBT or other evidenced based treatment models
- Must of knowledge of psychiatric staffing
