Coconino County - Where opportunities are as vast as our landscapes. The Coconino County Parks & Recreation department is seeking an Administrative Manager. The Ideal Candidate will possess a strong government finance background and the ability to manage a moderately complex chart of accounts; Experience with daily financial transactions such as accounts payable, receivable, budget development, purchasing, reconciliations, and budget development and administration; Ability to develop and report financial plans; Ability to manage and conduct high-level cash transactions; Ability to supervise administrative, front office, and customer service operations; Ability to prepare and track trends and report data in a comprehensive, professional manner; Ability to be a thoughtful contributor to the Department's Management Team; Ability to thrive during periods of high customer service needs, administrative responsibilities, and business transactions; Ability to effectively utilize programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Quickbooks, and Munis in order to perform the functions described above; Ability to work Labor Day Weekend.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in subject area and two years progressively responsible management experience in assigned or related field; OR, Associate's degree in subject area and three years progressively responsible management experience; OR, Four years progressively responsible management experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Preferred qualifications: Possess a breadth of accounting experience, government finance background, and the ability to manage a moderately complex chart of accounts, cash handing, financial planning, and budget development; Ability to manage and conduct high-level cash transactions; Ability to supervise administrative, front office, and customer service operations; Experience with financial or accounting software such as Excel, QuickBooks and Munis.
