The purpose of this class is to provide entry level administrative support services to assigned department or program.
High school diploma/GED and one-year related office experience knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications; must complete and pass Microsoft testing modules, which includes Word and Excel and demonstrate the ability to type 35 wpm. (Candidates with proof of current Microsoft Office Expert Specialist Certification do not need to test.)

- Assist and provide information to students, faculty, administrators and the college community.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Enter data into college systems.
- Maintain records and files.
- Answer, screen and direct telephone calls.
- Type letters, reports, documents and other correspondence.
- Provide the primary clerical support for the Student Success Center, including, but not limited to, generating reports, letters, emails, documentation and correspondence with students, staff, faculty, and the community.
- Update and maintain student database software (SARS/Banner/ALEKS/Brightspace); perform data entry and generate data reports as needed.
- Schedule and process forms and records for Student Success Center programs/activities
- Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling of part-time staff; and maintain hiring documentation
- Assist in registering and scheduling students/tutees for Student Success Center services
- Provide oversight of the Student Success Center computer lab; troubleshoot problems with Information Technology staff, and assist students with computer lab issues as needed.
- Order and maintain office supply and science model inventories for the Student Success Center
- Gather information to assist Coordinator with maintenance of Student Success Center operations and programming budget
- Serve as a liaison between academic departments to secure current course textbooks, learning materials, and science models for student and staff use in the Student Success Center
