The Daily Progress is looking for a part-time Assistant District Manager to assist with delivery of routes, placing tubes to newspaper an other duties as assigned on the dock. We are looking for a dependable, efficient individual with customer service background who is a team player. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: delivery of routes, redelivery of newspapers missed and sorting newspapers from various publications, assisting our carrier force comprised of independent contractors, assist with route delivery on open routes or as needed, organizing and cleaning of distribution center. Job requirements include but are not limited to: Must be able to lift bundles weighing approximately 35 lbs, have a valid VA driver's license and reliable transportation, computer experience in Outlook, Word and Excel. Candidate must possess basic math and communication skills and work as part of a team. Hours are 11:30 pm to 6:30 a.m. and must work some weekends.
