Job Summary
Working under the direction and guidance of the Division Chief and Department Administrator, the Division Administrator (DA) has authority over the business affairs, funds, and resources of the division. The DA provides oversight and directs the administrative functions of the division including fiscal management, contracts, and grants administration, personnel management, faculty affairs, facilities management, and other duties as required. The DA provides leadership, support, and administrative infrastructure for the Division and its programs; and develops and implements strategic planning to further its mission in research, teaching, and patient care.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ( CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.

Understanding of financial and HR issues. Strong computer skills with knowledge of spreadsheet programs.
