We seek an outstanding individual with a strong commitment to collaborative research as well as the desire to pursue independent funding. The Aging Institute of the University of Pittsburgh/UPMC seeks exceptional candidates at the Assistant Professor (Tenure Stream) level to explore the biology of aging. The Aging Institute bridges the University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences and the UPMC, combining the scientific environment of the fifth highest NIH-funded institution in the United States with a multi-billion dollar health care system that is the dominant provider in Western Pennsylvania. We seek highly motivated investigators with a Ph.D. and/or MD degree who have demonstrated a track record for creative, innovative, and high-impact science. Candidates working on potential drivers of aging such as metabolism or inflammation, or on specific age-related health conditions are encouraged to apply.
