The Physical Therapist is primarily responsible for the delivery of physical therapy care to the patient population to which they are assigned and the recording of that care in the hospital medical record. The therapist acts as a consultant to various patient clinics and provides instruction to PT support staff, students, personnel of other disciplines within VCUHS, and patient and/or family members. Therapists may rotate through our various clinical service areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- Licensed (or license eligibility) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist
- Current CPR certification if required by clinic or practice area
- Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous affiliation or work experience at a similar facility
- Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited school of physical therapy
